Our professionally trained certified staff are knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate and are dedicated to providing our members with education in conjunction with exemplary customer service. Our facilities include:

Personal Training is available for all members of SYJCC.  Sessions are available at a reasonable price:

Personal Training ensures that your workouts will be safe, efficient & help lead toward your individual goals. Our certified trainers are extremely knowledgeable, supportive & motivational.

Raising the Barre

Beginner Sharks Swim Clinic (Ages 5-17)
Tuesday & Wednesday
This program is for participants to refine & develop their skills required to qualify for SYJCC’s Swim Teams.

Splash Ball (Ages 7-10)
This 8-week program is an introduction to water polo. To be eligible to participate, children should be able to back float, tread water & front crawl. Our coaches will conduct free evaluations.

Women’s Only Swim Night
Join us for a private night just for ladies.

AQUA CLASSES & PROGRAMS

SWIM TEAMS

Jr. Sharks: A non-competitive swim program for children that will enhance their skills while becoming familiar with the competitive aspect of the sport. All swimmers are required to attend two practices per week.

Sharks: A competitive swim program for children that will enhance their skills, practices good sportsmanship & develop a positive work ethic. All swimmers are required to attend a minimum of three practices per week.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFE GUARD PROGRAMS

Lifeguard Crash Course (Ages 15+)
All participants must be 15 yrs of age by the completion of the course. Proof of age is required at the time of preliminary swim test. All participants must pass a preliminary swim test to be eligible for the course: 300 meters of freestyle or breaststroke, 20 meters of approach stroke, demonstration of surface dive & retrieval of 10lb. brick & return to the other end of the pool. Certification requirements are to attend all classes, pass CPR & First Aid exam, become proficient in all lifeguarding skills & achieve a score of 80% on a written exam.

Lifeguard Review Course (Ages 15+)
An abbreviated Lifeguarding course that briefly reviews course information and allows practice of skills and knowledge before testing. Current certification in Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED is required to participate in the review course. Students who successfully complete this course will receive a certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED which is valid for 2 years.

Lifeguard Waterfront Certification (Ages 15+)
All participants must be 15 yrs of age by the completion of the course. Proof of age is required at the time of precourse skills test. All participants must pass a precourse skills test to be eligible for the course: Swim 550 yards continuously, tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs, complete a timed event within 1 minute 40 seconds, Swim 5 yards, submerge and retrieve three dive rings placed 5 yards apart in 4 to 7 feet of water, resurface and continue to swim another 5 yards to complete the skill sequence. Certification requirements include Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate.
