At the Suffolk Y JCC, we believe that the power of community starts right here with a shared commitment to providing quality programming, caring for those in need through our Community Food Pantry, and creating a space where everyone belongs.
As proud board members of the Suffolk Y JCC, we’re honored to highlight someone who lives that mission every day: Michael Kessler.
You’ve probably heard about Michael’s passion for Holocaust education, Israel awareness, and developing program to combat antisemitism, three causes that have guided his work both professionally and personally. But what you may not have heard is how deeply committed Michael is to the Suffolk Y JCC and his community.
As a dedicated member of our Board of Directors, Michael has been a true champion of the programs and services that make the SYJCC so vital to our community. From Early Childhood Education, After-School Daycare, and Enrichment, to Adult Programs, Senior Services, Stage 74 theatrical performances, Special Needs Programming, and support for families in need — Michael shows up, speaks out, and gives back.
Because like us, he knows the Suffolk Y JCC is more than a community center — It’s a place where community begins and continues to grow.
But none of this happens without your help. Every class, our summer camp, and every act of care and connection is made possible by the generosity of people like you — those who believe in building something lasting, meaningful, and strong.
