Israeli Shlicha, Long Island
As an Israeli Shlicha on Long Island, I have the privilege of building meaningful connections with the Jewish community every single day. I’m part of the Center for Israel—a dedicated delegation of four Shlichim and six Shinshinim—working throughout the Island to serve as living bridges between Israel and Jewish communities here.
Through my work at the the Suffolk Y JCC, I bring Israel to life—one conversation, one program, and one relationship at a time. Whether I’m leading an Israeli cooking class, teaching Hebrew, or speaking about the IDF and daily life in Israel, each interaction is an opportunity to deepen understanding and spark connection. I work with people of all ages—from preschoolers to seniors—sharing the culture, complexity, and heart of Israel.
The goal of the Shlichut is to create closeness, understanding, and pride in our shared Jewish heritage. By offering an Israeli perspective, I help strengthen Jewish identity and remind people that Israel isn’t just a place on the map—it’s home.
