SYJCC Members can attend unlimited Group Fitness Classes for FREE. In-person, and virtual class options are available.
Reservations for group exercise classes are required.

Aqua Fit
Intermediate/High
Adding water workouts to your fitness routine can provide many positive benefits. It is fun for all ages! Aqua Fit provides a total body workout for your joints, muscles and cardio. It can also be relaxing and smoothly even while working hard. Equipment provided to enhance your resistance training.

Aqua Arthritis
In this class you will follow a variety of water-based exercises to increase physical activity among adults with arthritis.

Arthriticize
This class will provide special exercises for those with arthritis and other limiting conditions.

Barre
This exercise class uses a ballet barre as a focal point for strength & flexibility-based exercises.
Barre is a form of physical exercise, usually conducted in group classes in gyms or specialty studios. It is distinguished from other group fitness activities by its use of the ballet barre and its incorporation of movements derived from ballet pilates and yoga. Barre class is named for the primary piece of equipment: the bar.

Barre Sculpt
A muscular endurance full body workout that incorporates strength, Pilates and yoga. This class focuses on small, low impact, higher repitition movements that will tone your core, arms, legs, and glutes. This class utilizes the ballet barre, light weights, Pilates ball and more!

Chair Yoga
In this chair-based class, you will learn yoga positions, gentle stretching, and breathing techniques to help you maintain flexibility and balance. This class is designed for those that need a chair-based class and are unable to participate in conventional yoga on a mat.

Circuit Weight Training
This Class Will involve rotating several exercises that target different muscle groups with minimal rest between sets. Machines and free weight will be used in the class.

Cycle Circuit
Full body workout combining cycling and strength training intervals. Cycle intervals will include sprints, climbs and jumps. Strength intervals are off the bike and will vary between upper body, lower body and core.

H.I.I.T (High-Intensity Interval Training)
Are you ready to take your fitness to the next level? This class includes progressive interval resistance exercises that require a higher level of effort.

Pilates
Pilates is a type of exercise that focuses on improving flexibility, strength, and body awareness through controlled movements and was created in the 1920s by German physical trainer Joseph Pilates for rehabilitation purposes. His method was influenced by other forms of exercise, including gymnastics and boxing.
Pilates movements tend to focus on core activation through sets like toe taps, leg extensions, and abdominal curls.

Sit n’ Fit
Socialization, working at your own pace, and having fun in a safe environment are the goals of senior fitness classes. Using a chair, this Sit-N-Fit class works with resistance bands & light weights to give you a workout without being on your feet. Therefore, this lessens the impact of exercise on your joints.

Spin n’ Sculpt
This 30-minute lightweight workout spin class is your next cycling workout if you’re a beginner to indoor cycling, new to fitness, or you just want a ride to warm up.
During cardio training, you lose fat but also muscle. This can also affect your metabolism. If you also do some strength training with your cardio, however, you will get the best from both workouts. With a combination of light dumbells and body weight, this workout is great for your muscles, and it will pump up your metabolism all day!

Stretch & Tone
Stretch & Tone is a low-impact, low-intensity workout that will tone your muscles, increase your range of motion and flexibility, and help you to relieve stress. Through a series of stretching and toning exercises, participants will develop breathing techniques to complement this resistance training workout.

Triathlon Training
It doesn’t matter whether you’re an elite triathlete or have just started this journey. Having a triathlon coach is about helping you train wisely and being there to give you the best experience possible in your triathlon journey.
A coach is your accountability to help keep you on track. Total Body Workout
The total body workout is a class that can be done by anyone and anywhere with just a few sets of weights. You’ll target all your muscles, including the hips, glutes, thighs, chest, back, shoulders, and arms. The workout is full of tried and true classics, from squats and lunges to pushups and more.

TRX
TRX stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise, and is revolutionary workout!
Using two straps with your feet or hands to partially suspend your body, then use your own body weight as resistance. Every movement you do requires an integration of core, mobility, stability, strength, balance and coordination.

30 Spin Express
30 Minutes of Exercise Can Significantly Improve Your Health! Most people think that if they can only fit in 30 minutes of exercise it won’t be enough, However, 30minutes can help improve body composition, decrease fat mass, and lower blood pressure and cholesterol. Therefore, 30 minutes of exercise is more than enough time to get in a great workout! Spinning classes that last 30 minutes will burn 200-500 calories per class on average.

We offer a few different types of Yoga (Hatha, Morning, Gentle, and Chair). All classes use physical postures designed to stretch & strengthen while incorporating relaxation & meditation techniques.
