Hands on Huntington (HOH) is a Neighborhood Naturally Occurring Retirement Community or a NNORC. NNORC is a NYS term that identifies a neighborhood with a very high concentration of residents 60+.  SYJCC NNORC is in some areas of Greenlawn, East Northport & Huntington; please see the map below for the census track included in the NNORC.  This program is funded by a NYS Office For the Aging grant.

The goal of a NNORC is to help seniors age in place & remain in their homes with the support services they need to keep them in their community. The NNORC brings together SYJCC, the Town of Huntington & other community partners to provide social work case management, information & referral, education & recreation programs & medical services to seniors in the NNORC area.
