Island Quest (Gr. K-10) Camp at Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds: 9:00am-4:00pm

TACSY Theater Camp: 10:00am-4:00pm

Camp Achieve: 10:00am-4:00pm

Q. DOES THE SYJCC OFFER TRANSPORTATION?

A. Door-to-door transportation is available for Island Quest campers for $75 per week. Shuttle bus service from the JCC to & from the Henry Kaufman Campgrounds is included at no additional cost for Island Quest campers.

Q. MY CHILD IS NOT COMFORTABLE SWIMMING BUT I WANT HIM/HER TO LEARN HOW TO SWIM.

A. The SYJCC camps prides itself on its swim program. We follow the American Red Cross swim curriculum which has been proven to teach skills to even the most hesitant swimmer. Our swim staff is trained to work with campers of all swim abilities, using games & toys to make children more comfortable in the water. Our goal is to have every camper progress in the pool. Swim groups are small to ensure all campers have proper supervision. The aquatics department sends progress reports home every two weeks in order for parents to track their children’s progress. Many campers have even competed in the SYJCC’s swim team as a result of their camp swim experience.

Q. HOW ARE CAMPERS GROUPED? CAN I REQUEST TO HAVE MY CHILD BE WITH THEIR FRIENDS?

A. Campers are grouped based on the grade in school they are entering in the fall. Theater Camp groups may be mixed by grade based on enrollment.  The SYJCC will make every effort to honor all grouping requests during registration.

Q. DOES THE CAMP PROVIDE LUNCH?

A. Daily Kosher lunch is included in the price of camp. To opt out of lunch service for Wonderland, Camp Achieve or TACSY, a credit of $25/week will be applied to your account. Campers may also bring their own lunch which is refrigerated upon arrival at camp. We do provide a drink at lunchtime as well as an afternoon snack each day for every camper.

Q. WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF EACH CAMP SESSION?

A. The SYJCC allows you to custom design your summer to fit into your busy schedule & budget. We do require a two-week camp minimum, however, they do not need to be consecutive.  The more weeks you register for, the bigger the savings!

Theater Campers must register for a minimum of one 2-week session due to the programming.
