SOCIAL CLUBS
SYJCC offers social clubs for adult members. The clubs meet on a regular basis at SYJCC and in the community. Meetings include special speakers, entertainers, presentations, and community service projects. Each club is organized by members in conjunction with SYJCC Adult Program staff. Women’s Club
Open to all women with a full SYJCC membership, AARP Plus, and SilverSneakers Plus. The club meets once a week, and then once a month book club is hosted from 1:00-2:00 pm.

Retirement Club
Open to all adult men and women with a full SYJCC membership, AARP Plus, and SilverSneakers Plus. The club plans and takes trips to various locations in the New York metropolitan area as well as some trips to other locations. Club members plan and coordinate all the trip details with the assistance of SYJCC Adult Division staff.
The club meets two Tuesdays a month.

Social Club for Adults
SYJCC is launching a new evening social club for young adult members between the ages of 30-50. Get involved in the planning and help determine the focus and activities of this new club.

GAME CLUBS

SYJCC members can join any of our game clubs including; Mahjong, Canasta, Couples Canasta, Pinnacle, and Poker.
Games are currently twice a week. Additional days will be added this Fall.
Schedule:
Mah Jongg: Tuesdays | 12:30-4:00 pm, currently by reservation only

Mah Jongg

For Beginners
Students will continue to learn the basics of American Mahjongg through guided games that allow students to learn by playing. You will continue to practice and learn the tiles, scoring, and distinct game mechanics of American Mahjongg. Students must purchase a Mahjongg card at nationalmahjonggleague.org

This class will teach all the mechanics and rules of the game. Students will hone their skills through guided games during the class.
